We are a warm and inviting congregation of believers in Jesus Christ.  We welcome everyone to join us in following Christ.  Our services are casual but worshipful to our creator God.  Comprised of both the young and young at heart- you will find a place to belong at Southside.

 

Southside was formed in June of 1984 by the merger of two churches, Melwood Baptist and Woodland Heights Baptist. Both of these churches had a rich history in the Brownwood community dating back 30+ years prior to 1984.

 

Southside cooperates with thousands of churches across the United States and throughout the world with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist General Convention of Texas. Southside is also a part of the local Heart of Texas Baptist Network where we partner with local congregations to discover opportunities for accomplishing missions and ministry with others.
