Worship Ministries
At Southside our worship services are contemporary in style and one of our goals is to help all aspects of our ministries incorporate music in their ministry. Here are some of our service opportunities in the Worship ministries.
Office – We have many small jobs that can add up to a great help in the office. Stop by and see how you can serve!
Worship Service Band Members – We currently have one service at 10:45 a.m. with band members that consist of: Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Trap Set, Congas, Percussion Accessories, Keyboard, Bass Guitar and other Instruments. We are looking for people who are able to rehearse each Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 to backup regular players when they cannot attend.
Worship Service Media – We are looking for video, power point and sound techs for our regular worship services as well as our Youth Service, and Children’s morning services. Basic knowledge is required.
Children’s Ministries
We have created an active learning environment that we want to be the best two hours of a kid’s week. All volunteers in this ministry will have background checks to ensure a safe environment for our kids and guests.
Here are some of our service opportunities in the Children’s Ministry:
Preschool/Children’s Ministry-there are also opportunities to help with crafts, Bible and mission study, and recreation.
Children’s Intern – We are looking for a college student willing and able to become an intern within our children’s ministry.Worship Helpers – Our children’s worship time includes music, puppets, drama, video, and many other processes to help lead kids to worship. Creativity is a must in this position.
Student Ministries
We currently have a mixture of adults and college students who work together in our Life Connection Classes to have a powerful impact on teenagers. The ministry incorporates Bible teaching, planning/organizing, leading worship through music and other methods, small groups, and simply having fun with teens throughout the week. If you’re interested in working with teenagers and showing them the face of Jesus, we’d love to meet with you.
Other Ministries
We have numerous ministries in which can always use more volunteers! Our lay ministers, prayer partners, hospitality, fellowship meals, greeters, Sunday coffee bar, lawn-care and maintenance, plus other various ministries, would love your help!
